Whatever you are doing to stop global warming, please stop this instant!
I'll set the scene for you - I'm in Lyon, France at the moment and it's a gorgeous, sunny day. There's a great pathway next to the river here and it's fantastic for skating - you can go for miles and stop off at the occasional skate park, too.
What does this have to do with global warming you ask? Right; it's been rather cold lately, hasn't it? I didn't have any boards left in stock so before I left to go on my last trip off Jersey, I cut out and laminated two bamboo longboards, stuck them in the molds and left. Unfortunately, the heating in our workshop failed almost as soon as I left and the epoxy couldn't cure with it being so cold. So instead of being able to chose between boards to take away with me, I have 8 pieces of ruined bamboo (I'll try to salvage it but this is my blog and I'll sulk if I wanna). This whole, tragic episode could have been prevented if it had only been a little warmer.
So to avoid more horror stories like this I urge, nay, beg you to drive when you can walk, drive the biggest car you can afford, don't recycle, don't buy local, leave all your lights on, crank your heating up, leave the telly on - whatever you can think of to help bring on global warming and stop the needless ruining of innocent bamboo!
Many thanks
